Ieșirea din Labirint
Instalație site-specific pe terasa casei de vacanță: masă și scaun de plastic, cutii Petri, folie de oglindă, fragmente vegetale

Casa noastră de vacanță este locul pe care l-am considerat, de când eram adolescentă, ca pe un spațiu de refugiu, inspirație și meditație. Ieșirea din Labirint continuă seria de lucrări cu caracter autobiografic și ilustrează un moment de reală cumpănă existețială prin care am trecut în vara lui 2020. Așezată în același loc în care cu un an în urmă căutam soluții într-o situație aparent fără ieșire, masa roșie de plastic devine suportul pentru Labirint: un aranjament ordonat pe 7 rânduri și 7 coloane de cutii Petri care conțin folie de oglindă și câte un fragment din crengile uscate strânse din grădină la curățenia de primăvară. Folia de oglindă crează un dialog aproape-departe, real-imaginar, trecut-prezent, lumină-umbră cu cerul și cu vegetația dar și cu cel care privește. Cutiile Petri cu resturile vegetale (fragmente de crengi pentru a sugera liniile care formează pereții Labirintului, prelungite vizual cu umbrele vegetației de pe perete) sunt așezate în mod aleatoriu, pentru a crea un desen întâmplător al pereților Labirintului și a lăsa deschise toate variantele si variabilele posibile pentru rezolvarea dilemei. Pentru că, în final, nu este important pe care poartă ieși din Labirint, ci chiar faptul că ai reușit.

Our holiday home is the place that I consider, since I was a teenager, a space of refuge, inspiration and meditation. The Exit from the Labyrinth continues the series of autobiographical works and illustrates a moment of real existential balance that I had to go through in the summer of 2020. Placed on the same spot where a year ago I was looking for solutions in a seemingly hopeless situation, the red plastic table becomes the support for the Labyrinth: an arrangement of 7 rows and 7 columns of Petri dishes containing mirror foil and fragments of dry branches gathered from the garden at the spring cleaning. The mirror film creates a near/ far, real/ imaginary, past/ present, light/ shadow dialogue with the sky and the vegetation, but also with the viewer. The Petri dishes with plant debris (fragments of branches to suggest the lines that form the walls of the Labyrinth, visually extended with the shadows of vegetation on the wall) are placed randomly, in order to create a random drawing of the walls of the Labyrinth and leave open all variants and variables possible to solve the dilemma. Because, in the end, it's not important that you get out of the Labyrinth, but the fact that you have succeeded.
