Instalație: pânză roșie, farfurii, pahare, tacâmuri, flori artificiale, șervețele de hârtie, suport de tort, șpan din atelierul depoului de tramvaie.

La o
primă vedere, pare o masă atent pregătită pentru o aniversare. La o privire în
detaliu se observă că decorul bogat al tortului încearcă să cosmetizeze faptul
că este realizat din șpan (obținut din atelierul depoului de tramvaie),
trimitere la cei 30 de ani de politică post-revoluționară, în care se practică
discursul amăgitor al unui viitor „mai bun” promis populației.
Farfuriile contin cateva discursuri arhicunoscute din viata noastra politica si
promisiuni niciodata onorate. Un joc vizual între digerabil/ nedigerabil,
adevărat/ fals, inofensiv/ nociv, într-un context contemporan în care politicul
determină cine deține puterea, nu cine deține adevărul (Paul Krugman), în care
discursul electoral a devenit o formă de influențare psihosocială și în care
politica nu a avut niciodată vreo legătură cu moralitatea (Niccolo Machiavelli).

SWEET ILLUSION
Installation: red fabric, plates, glasses, cutlery,
artificial flowers, paper towels, cake stand, metal waste from the tram depot
workshop.
2019
At
first glance, it looks like a carefully prepared festive table for an
anniversary. A closer look shows that
the rich decoration of the cake tries to beautify the fact that it is made of metal
waste (from the tram depot workshop), a reference to the 30 years of
post-revolutionary politics, of a deceptive discourse about a "better"
future promised to the population. The plates contain some
well-known speeches from our political life and promises never honored. A visual game between edible
/ inedible, true / false, harmless / harmful, in a contemporary context where
politics determine who holds power, not who holds the truth (Paul Krugman), electoral
discourse has become a form of psychosocial influence and politics has never had
anything to do with morality (Niccolo Machiavelli).
Each
night, after the visitors left, I had to pack and secure the
installation since the cats that were living there loved to explore the
table and play with the fabric strips:
